Little Readers and Leaders Rwanda

After a year serving abroad in Rwanda as an Assistant Professor at the University of Global Health Equity, Dr. Melany Rabideau has returned to her hometown, Frederick, to celebrate the launch of Little Readers and Leaders Rwanda! Melany grew up in Frederick and earned her doctorate degree in organizational leadership from Hood College. She was inspired by her time in Rwanda to create this picture book series.

Little Readers and Leader Rwanda is a poetic picture book series shaping little readers into future leaders as they read their way around Rwanda with universal leadership lessons for every child.

Stop by Dublin Roasters on Sunday August 29th to enjoy your coffee with a cause for the whole family! Get a free coffee with your book purchases and for every book sold, a book will be donated to the children of Rwanda.

From 10 am-1 pm, Melany will be available for book signings and offering giveaways. There will be Girl Scouts from local troops and representatives from the Miss America Organization who will be leading children in friendly crafts that promote literacy and leadership. These young leaders in our communities will also be hosting a story time of Melany’s books from 1-2pm.
